Although the primary responsibility for standards and guidlines rests with the Project Committees, TC 7.6 has been recognized as the cognizant Technical Committee for:

  • Std 90.1- [continuous] Energy Efficient Design of New Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings and Addenda
  • Std 90.2- [continuous] Energy Efficient Design of New Low-Rise Residential Buildings and Addenda
  • Std 100-2006 Energy Conservation in Existing Buildings
  • Std 105-2007 Standard Methods of Measuring, Expressing, and Comparing Building Energy Performance

In addition to participating in the development and revision of these above standards, TC members have participated in development of other guidelines and standards, including (but certainly not limited to):

  • Guideline 1 The HVAC Commissioning Process
  • Guideline 2 Engineering Analysis of Experimental Data
  • Guideline 8 Energy Cost Allocation for Multiple-Occupancy Residential Buildings

  • Std 62 Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality and Addendum
  • Std 103 Methods of Testing for Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency of Residential Central Furnaces and Boilers
  • Std 140 Standard Method of Test for the Evaluation of Building EnergyAnalysis Computer Programs
  • Std 150 Method of Testing the Performance of Cool Storage Systems
